The 920 feels actually slippery to be. I'm sure I'll drop it at some point when using it one-handed.
I don't want a big protective case, only but something to add together texture to the back of the phone.

Is there some kind of texturized pare I could stick on? (Ideally with no residuum if I remove it)
Or some other rubber that would stick on the back?
Or even a really sparse silicon case?

I can't be the only one with this problem, has anyone else noticed this and found a good solution?

I hold that the telephone is slippery ... and I started past using a gel case ... which worked, and it had knobby grips on the edges of the instance -- and that worked very well to terminate dropping the phone (I did that several times before I put the case on it).

Then I tried a phone with the Nokia CC-1043 case ... but that too was likewise slippery for me. I tried some egrip (they are non sticky things that volition "stick" to most any surface ... and if y'all want something on the dorsum of the phone -- at that place are pads that are 1" past 2" (nigh) that would piece of work. Nevertheless, for me, I wanted something on the edges -- so that I could get information technology out on the vertical holster that I apply. The egrips on the edges did not stay formed along the bend of the example ... so I modified the CC-1043 with some grooves on the edges -- which really works peachy!

I was going to post some pictures, but I don't have access to a web site for the insertion ... If you ship me a private message, I can send you the pictures ...

The grooves were made using a bandsaw with a cake of wood taking the identify of the phone to provide stability to the case as it was cut ... and in that location was a block of wood to end how far into the blade that the case would get, and resulted in a cut that is about 1/2 mm deep ... it provides enough grip to grab the phone out of the case and while holding it -- nigh of what my paw / fingers are touching are the edges of the telephone ...

Information technology depends on which color you lot have. The blue and red are not as slippery. But I take Ghost armor on mine and it gives information technology a slightly tacky feel in addition to protecting it from scratches. Mine is red.

I had a case like the JKase ... and it is OK, merely it adds some noticeable weight to the phone ... it is the one with knobby sides ... information technology has a very thin strip along the forepart-bottom of the case that is forth the micro USB connector and the speakers ... it never was straight, but it also didn't seem to provide much function ... read other posts that said that they cut it off ...

Don't know nearly the other cases ...

The egrips link that you have are the ones that I tried ... I always utilise a case and never only in the pocket -- so I don't know if information technology would cause a trouble ...

Like I said, I like the Nokia case after the modification ... earlier it, information technology was still at risk of existence dropped ...

Electrical tape to a thin plastic case.

Simple, thin, and adds a lot of grip. However, information technology tin can cause issues if you work in a very hot environs as the tape will broth and slip. Otherwise, I practice this with almost all of my devices.

Add texture to slippery jail cell telephone

To make your phone less slippery, y'all tin can add textured stickers to it. The kind that you lot would put on the bottom of the bathtub to prevent slips.

I bought some good ones at Bed, Bathroom, and Across. You tin can cut them into whatsoever shape y'all desire. They were actually shaped similar fish. I cut them into strips and put a few on the dorsum of the telephone and on the sides.

You can find them in many colors.

Amazon has a skilful pick.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Ghost Armor. It'southward perfect for what you want.
I bought their MatteArmor for the back of my Samsung Milky way tablet and to provide a matte finish instead of information technology's glace plastic.
Increased holdability (made up word lol) and maintains the await of the device because it'south transparent and thin.
It's that good I paid to have information technology shipped from the USA to UK. Lifetime warranty, 30 day coin-dorsum guarantee

Here's a link to the Lumia range but they do literally whatever device.
